On this CD, including GR's new guitarist and bassist, they slowed things down a bit from their previous release …Too Little, Too Late. It is still very punk, very well put together, and very amazing. This CD has indeed shown how much GR has matured, having more than one vocalist, expanding the horizons with the guitar (addition of Jordan), and not afraid to even pull out the acoustic or moog. Each and every song has a different sound and feel to it. 823 sets the tone for the record, Hall Pass is probably the best song on the record, and all of the other songs are unique in some way. The sound of the CD is amazing, they really put in a lot of work at the studio to make it sound great, and it shows. They even redid a song from their old CD, Scrapbook, and put it on the new CD, showing how GR has in fact changed and matured. Nothing but great comments from me for this CD. Also, you can't beat the rock ballad at the very end of the CD, amazing. GR really lucked out finding Jordan as a guitarist. If you don't have this CD, you are missing out, and to only charge 10 bucks, great buy! Get it quick before they stop printing it. |
