The CD comes out after having only horrible recordings of choice songs from the bands bedroom and from live shows. First off, the CD quality is at about a 90%, not perfect, but not so bad that it takes away from the CD. This cd is very much so reggae, some punk, and some rock. The CD does have some amazing tracks on it that have really shown how much Slowpoke has grown and how a professional recording studio can make a difference. Take Me Home and Skullz are probably the two best songs on the CD, with Crazy Bruise ranking right up there. These songs have energy and are put together very well, along with movie quotes from Major League. However, I felt like Next Morning lost a lot of its energy and impact on this CD. On the live version of their CD, they had a lot of energy and the song had the potential to be a rock anthem for this generation, however, the CD lost that emotion. For a small local band without a record label, this cd is great. All of the songs on the CD are catchy and the cd is put together very well. For 10 bucks, you can't go wrong. Definitely buy this CD. |
